So yeah... I've had a shitty enough weekend so far (and it's just starting) without this shit.

I broke my BCS while trying to remove the hose so I could do remove the air restrictor.

Needless to say, I definitely removed the air restrictor...

So which one of those numbers is the part number? And where would I be able to acquire one, preferably before sunday's autox? I did a search on craigslist, to no avail, Advance didn't have anything in their database, and O'Reilly's was closed, nothing on ebay, either.

#### ME. I am so pissed right now...

Spend $55 and get a manual boost controller. I gurantee you if you try to get it off any other site or dealership, it'll be expensive. Your best bet is ebay but why bother? You'll definitely won't make it by Sunday unless someone local has one.

have two of them with the restricters removed, but sadly im in colorado and wouldnt be able to get to you in time. I would be glad to give it to you free since i wouldnt want nothing but $dollars for it since i run a mbc. Sorry I cant help before Sunday!:(

Alright, so what's all required to install an mbc? Do I need a non-stock gauge if I'm not going over 15psi?

Also, I'd be slightly against this anyway, as it'll bump me out of stock class in autox.

Well you'll need a boost gauge to determine the psi you set the MBC to. If you're dead set on staying in stock, then search some of our vendor junkyards and see if they can overnite it but I'm betting more than likely you will not get it by Sunday.

Or if you want a stock 1, you can use a stock BCS from a 1g dsm.

Well, that's good news. I might have better luck with that inside my one day time frame. Biggest autox of the season for my region, and I had to do this shit two days before...

Tough situation. Replacing the BCS with a MBC is easy but you shouldn't do that without a boost gauge because the stock gauge is designed to work with the BCS and is inaccurate as hell to begin with. Changing out the BCS throws you out of class. So, here's what I'd do in your situation. Clean up the broken BCS really good using alcohol. Use a tiny drop of super glue to attach the broken nipple and don't get any inside the BCS. Then use 5 minute epoxy around the break to strengthen it. It will last the weekend and you can get another used BCS later.

Find a dead ballpoint pen with a brass filler, cut off a short piece, stick it in the hole that's broken, put on a bit of JB Weld, and slide the rest of the broken-off nipple over the rest of it.

Bypassed the BCS, and I can definitely hear the turbo spooling up more than usual, the whine frequency gets a lot higher. I don't plan on leaving it like this, and I plan on grabbing a used one for street driving, but I'll run without on an autox course.

Same thing happened to me. I tried using the plastic tube from a Q-Tip similar to what Defiant suggested. It just wasn't solid and I didn't want to risk it so I went to the local pull-a-part and searched the dead Mitsus for something similar. What I found is the Evap Purge Solenoid from a 1G Diamante, located in the center of the firewall, works indetically to the BCS and mounts the same way too. Plus no restrictor and the larger ports enhances the effect of the of the restrictor removal mod. It has a beefy metal bracket (for reinforcement?). It's basically a factory upgraded BCS. When I went to the counter to pay for it the guy said no charge. Except for the entrance fee it was free:thumb:

Basically looks like this but with the earlier connector like in your pict.

DON'T RUN WITHOUT A BOOST CONTROL SYSTEM!

You are going to blow your engine, do you have a boost gauge? Even a stock turbo will boost past 20 psi without control, which is plenty to harm your engine.

take the line into and out of your bcs and run one line into ## wastegate, then you will at least be at stock boost should be around 8-12 psi
Looks like he already thought of that:

I don't think so because he wouldn't be hearing more spoolup if he was running wastegate pressure, he would be hearing and feeling less.

It sounds like he was running completely disconnected, aka uncontrolled boost, imo. could be wrong though, it's happened before...

can you explain this a little bit more. i did the BCS mod this morning.. my guage was showing 10lbs,, i did the bcs, and then i saw 8lbs.. i stopped to get some gas and now im seeing roughly 5-6 lbs..

i think my turbo maybe shot, id like to do a quick test and see if it will build boost to atleast the stock level by re-routing the lines.. if i blow the turbo thats fine because right now im sure im going to have to replace it.
