I'm sorry to post it in here, I tried to post in the turbo tech. but I am unable to... here's the deal:

I went ahead and bought an FP "3575" from a guy, and it is ball bearing... now, I've never heard of these turbos coming ball bearing? Also, I have never seen them with the compressor cover this turbo has on it. Any way of finding out for sure what this thing is?

I *think* I recall looking into their website and seeing a statment about these turbos starting to come BB and would eliminate the shaft breakage (above 30psi)... but I'm unsure if I'm recalling right and they do not post these up on their web site any more.

I believe the newer version is ball bearing and the older version is journal bearing/small shaft version.

Yeah... I just wanted to make sure someone eles has heard of them comming ball bearing, I was wondering if my mind was palying tricks on me or not since they don't post them up on their site anymore.

The FP3575 wasnt offered with BB ,or that compressor cover, it seems that you have a 3052 or 3065 turbo, the new version is called FP88HTA and uses a new compressor wheel and cover that doesnt look anything like yours, the only way to know for sure is to measure the compressor and turbine wheels to know which turbo you got , but most likely you got a FP3052 or FP3065.

Well, I e-mailed FP about it, waiting to see if they respond, I really do hope what I'm recalling is right. If not, hopfully it's a 3065... nothing against the 3052, but I just planned on going bigger then it. ughhh :toobad:

There is no way it's a 3052 .... it's missing some obvious detail from the comp housing if it is.

Well, I got ahold of the guy I bought it from, I found out what it is, there must have been some miscommunication since the deal was all done online... Would you like me to tell you guys or see who "names that turbo" the first LOL.

edit: So far it has not been mentioned.
