Dejon Powerhouse advertises a ball-bearing 50 trim (Model 5031RE) that spools up at 3000 rpm, which is something I find very interesting. A 50 trim that spools as fast as a Big 28 or the like but is rated for much more power. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this turbo and how well it performs. I want to keep my car as streetable and responsive as I can, and if this turbo lives up to the claims, it's somethin that I would seriously consider using. Thanks for any and all responses.

I'm setting aside money for new injectors and the like. I'm just doing my research before I have my mind set on a turbo.

3000rpm is a bit low. When I had my properly hooked up Cyclone intake manifold, I saw 20+psi at around 3400rpm with my set-up. Since then I've installed 264/272 cams and a Magnus intake manifold and reached full boost closer to 4k.

When I ran with stock cams and stock/cyclone manifold it was very streetable, only a bit more laggy than my e16g.

Well first of, I would consider traction before you jump to a turbo like that. I run the same turbo and you check out my supporting mods. I have Quaife LSD and thats probably the best mod I have done to my car. With a turbo like this and FWD you have to pay a lot attention to traction.

I can tell you one thing, this turbo hits like the EVOIII 16G and pulls all the way to redline! You have to have the supporting mods as well. This turbo really shines if you can tune 22-24psi. I haven't gone to the track yet as I am experiencing some other problems but when I do go, I plan to throw a pair slicks on my stock rims and get some numbers. With the BC 272/272 cams, slicks, Quaife LSD, and a dual stage boost controller, I hope to crack 12's but I am not keeping my hopes to high.

Overall, this turbo is great and keeps gives you potenial in the future as well. After this turbo, I would consider the FP3065 but that can get costly as it requires you to go external. Probabaly next summer I will go external gate with this turbo as well as the internal gate will give you some problems with boost.

Hope that helps and if you have any other questions about the turbo, shoot me a PM. I ordered the turbo from Dejon as well.
