whats up guys! im wondering which one of these 2 turbos i should put in my car. i am lookin for atleast 400whp. Id prefer a turbo thatll spool fast and perform the best for an fwd. please give me your opinions and suggestions. thanks!

I mean this post is pretty much useless. Both turbos can achieve your goal, and people are just going to give you opinion based on their personal experiences. I would recommend using the search feature for PTE turbos and FP turbos and see which group is happier.

For the record, as someone who owns neither...I would go with the FP.

what do u mean?
Everyone is going to recommend what they prefer. For example, I don't care for PTE turbos or their customer service from past experience, so I'd recommend xxxxx turbo over a comparable PTE unit.

so then whats so good about the pte 5557 ballbearing turbo then??
I don't know- the ball bearing center housing? Ball bearing turbos have no thrust system and can live on literally zero oil, but dirty oil will MURDER a ball bearing turbo in a few seconds, where a journal bearing turbo has a thrust system to support the shaft but is much more tolerant of dirty oil.

oh ok i get you now. well one thing is for sure, i want to run a direct bolt on using the same manifold and downpipe im currently using. i dont want to change my set up.

yeah ive been thinking of gettin the green but i kept hearing how the pte bb turbos spooled faster. i mean does that matter having a fwd? i just dont want it burnin out too much. i also read the bb turbos last longer.

All that matters is that you don't want to replace your manifold and downpipe. The rest of the discussion is moot.

Typically a FWD wants a slower spooling turbo.
