battery relocation; unanswered questions.

Ok i have a few unanswered questions for relocating the battery to the hatch.

1. Do i need a fused distribution box, since im gonna wire from the fuse box on the positive terminal to the distribution box?

2. What would be the best distibution box to get? Like i know i would need 1/0 gauge input, and then use 4/8 gauge for output. But will that be the right size for the fused portion on the postive battery cable.

3. It looks like im gonna need to get a 150amp-200amp fuse block comming right off the postive battery terminal, am i right there?

4. What would be the best way to extend the alternator power wire to the rear, i know im gonna need a 100amp fuse block for that. Just looking for the easiest way to route that to the rear hatch area. I purchased the moroso external kill switch. Which is why i am asking.

I think thats basically it, hopefully someone can help me. Ive searched, got some answers but most of it is pretty old and has dead links in the post. So im just trying to get a little more in depth answers.

Well i never ran a fuse distribution box. It would be a good idea but there is the fact of the fuse blowing and then being out of a car until you get a fuse. I went with a block. It is just a block that has the options of having 4 in and 1 out. So i hooked up everything in the engine bay and then ran a 2 gauge wire to the back. At the back you can have a "Switched" protector. It pops the switch if there is a over load or anything else. So simply you can just walk back to your trunk and switch it back on. I mounted mine on the inside of the trunk right by the bat. Hope that helps!

Your also going to need a sealed dry type power cell. Or a Sealed battery box. Since Lead Acid Batteries vent toxic fumes.

Yea ive read that, i guess im just a lil confused on what items i need. It looks like i will end up going with a circuit breaker. What do you guys think.

Either one would be fine, with the circut breaker you would have the abilty to just flip it back if you were to ever trip it. May be more expensive but a lot better than carrying extra expensive fuses.

ok before everyone goes to sleep, this is what i was gonna do. Im gonna buy this singer distribution block SPD5623. Its basically(2) 0/1ga in and (4)4/8 ga out. Its maxi fused. Then wire the the fused section to the distribution box, but run the same amp fused together into the section of the dist block.

Then for the alt, run the white wire from the alt to a 100amp maxi fuse to the kill switch. But i was looking at the white wires comming from the alt, i noticed its going to the alt to the postive terminal, So where should i run it from just make my own harness from the atl to the batter or find where the white wires begin and just extend them.? I dont want unwanted wires that arent being used still around.
