I mounted the battery at the trunk of my 2g GST and i was wondering if a 4 gauge wire was enough or if i need a bigger cable
I have a 130amp fuse right know
do i need a diferent one?

I would go with the minumum of 2 gauge, the safer the better, but if it was me, I would go with 0 or 1 gauge. The MAX amps that the 4 gauge can handle is only 135 amps. The 2 gauge is 181 amps, the 1 gauge is 211 amps, the 0 gauge can handle 245 amps. Granted your car will probably not see these amperages, but it is definitly worth the lower resistance, because when your car is starting, it sees a VERY high current rating. Also, the lower the resistance, the lower the voltage drop, which is better for making your vehicle "think" nothing has happened.

On a side note, why do you want to do this?

i would say it looks good if you are doing it for the purpose of cleaning up the engine bay. but i would personally just go with a lighter battery. especially with you being front wheel drive , i would sorta want to keep the weight in front as much as possible

look at my gallery and you will se my custom i/c pipes setup, i had to remove my battery. I also wanted to my engi bay to look clean so im working on it.

My 130amp fuse says its accept 0-2 gauge wires? Do i stilll need to change my fuse when changing to a 1 gauge wire also?

I am moving mines soon to the trunk also.
I know its not ideal on a fwd but im doing it to clean up the engine bay to make it
easier to work in there, and for custom intercooler piping like the other guy.
I have removed a lot of weight from my car though such as no sound deadner,
no back seats, no sparetire, theres only a jack back there behind one of the rear panels
therefore the battery wont change nothing significantly considering there wouldve been more weight
back there anyways...
( Keeping weight up front mainly only helps launching, but who launches a fwd anyways, and you could make up with stiffer rear springs and solid motor mounts. I thought you want even weight distrubution as possible for cornering and balance since the engine is already a lot of weight up front. )

i put the battery in the back of my car i used 0g and a 200 amp circut breaker, car starts the same as before no problems just a cleaner engine compartment. and ## battery isnt gonna die premeturaly from heat. just make sure u put fuses on both ends of the cable becuase ## alt is pushing voltage back to the battery to.
