I am checking the base timing and the VFAQ says timing should be at 5* BTDC. But Im not too sure where that is on the base timing indicator (Im using an induction light on the 1st plug wire)

Mine appears to be set to 0* TDC

I stole this photo to show where my timing mark lines up. It is exactly where the red arrow points (the "t" mark?) that looks like 0 to me. My internal engine has never been modded and never had the CAS removed.

I grounded the timing connector digitally via DSM link was this the wrong way to do it?

I assume the correct position is the mark between the t and the 10 right?
