balance shaft eliminator question

I did a 6 bolt swap and removed the balance shafts. I turned one of the bearings 180 degrees but left the other one normal(with the oil holes still lined up). I did this because i didnt want my oil pressure to be too high, causing a oil pump failure. Was this a bad choice? does leaving the holes on the bearings lined up mess anything up?
 
Yes, it was a bad choice. You'll have low oil pressure now (how low, I'm not sure), because that oil will just shoot out now instead of lubricating the balance shaft. There are proven ways to reduce higher oil pressure from removing the balance shafts, but I don't think what you did is one of them...
 
Do you think doing 1 of the bearings is enough? or do you think i should rip everything apart and do the other. When i first started the car on the rebuild everything was fine. No ticking or knocking, the head was getting plenty of oil. I am going to need to get a oil pressure sensor to check my oil pressure.
 
No, 1 bearing is not enough. Just like ramenpride said, you will have low oil pressure. The oil will be free to shoot out of that hole rather than build pressure like it should. So you'll need to pull it back apart unless you want to risk spinning a bearing.

I have the oil pump off now (replacing castle plug). What else do i need to take off to get to the bearing? It is right there behind the oil pump correct?
 
No, it's in the front. The hole to the upper left of the crank sprocket. The oil pump shaft bearings don't have oil ports, the shaft oils itself.

Ok great I think i can remember where it is located (Its too dark out to go look). Ill check it out tommorrow and let you guys knows. Thanks for the tips, before i spun a bearing or blew it up LOL :hellyeah:.
