i have a question whats the difference between just removing the b/s belt and doing the b/s eliminator kit my mechanic said on his 10 sec 1g that he just took the belt off and hasent noticed any side affects (vibrates yes) but he said it vibrates just like any car hes done the b/s eliminator to.....


is it safe for ## motor just to take the belt off?

Well that is the wrong way to do it. There are two balance shafts in the engine one is run off a belt the other is driven off the oil pump and has to be removed. So you need to open the motor to do it correctly.

i have a few times just cut the belt off for the one BS and the few cars I have done that to have had NO side effects. but there is still one more BS in the engine that is still spinning. I would say if your going to take the oil pump off to take the rear BS out, why not take the other BS out as well. if you are tearing your motor apart, may as well eliminate the BS unless the car is 100% stock and going to stay that way.
