Ok guys i need some opinions here. In may of 08 I bought a clutch kit from south bend, and installed it in june-july of 08 because i did a automatic to manual swap. now for awhile i been having issue engaging the clutch into first gear etc. thats not all i been hearing some strange grindy type noises or rattling when i started the car, but if i pressed the clutch the noise would go away. which make me think pressure plate ok. so now today i started up the car guess what not going into any gear, so i stopped the car and tried it, it went into every gear. so now my thoughts ok def the pressure plate. because all my hydraulics work i checked them all fork moves etc. so i shut the car off again put it in 1st gear hold the clutch down start going but i notice it does not grab till my foot is pretty much all the way up, so i drive around alittle in 1st gear not being able to shift at all because it just wont unless the car is off. the car does have clutch slip if i floor it rpms fly up but i hardly move anywhere fast. then i bring it home park it, then while the car is off try to move the shifter again and its all messed up wont go into any gears like it did before with the car off. now from driving it is it possible that the messed up pressure plate stopped in such a way is affecting my shifts even with the car off or do u think the tranny is shot? thanks

i cant do anything hear because we pretty much have over a foot of snow so i am out of luck until its gets warm again

I think there is some sort of bushing on the end of the crank of an auto engine did you remove that?
Have you adjusted your pedal play?
And checked the travel at the fork.

Try bleeding your clutch, it sounds like you have air in the system.
This could be caused by a leak in the master cylinder or slave cylinder.
Inspect these for leaks.
That, or your transmission mounting bolts are loose, have a friend press in the clutch and check if your tranny moves any while he is doing so.
Hope I helped out.
