Somewhere in,
Colorado
I finally got my transmission pump out and decided to take it apart to see what failed. I found some debris inside and came up with a theory based on some reading I did. This is what I think may have happened: I think the stator shaft over-spun since it's a pressed in shaft. This would explain the heat scoring on the shaft, and the debris could be the resulting metal flakes or the stator body. Does anyone agree with this idea based on the pictures? I also don't know if the teeth should be exposed or not, I'm guessing not, but can't find any info..
