so i replaced me timing belt and triple checked that the cams were in time and the bottom end was timed and they were but when im at idle it chops like a big block v8 what could the issue be ??
 
after you got the timing marks aligned, and the belt installed, did you check that the pin in the tensioner could be easily removed and reinstalled?
did you rotate the crank 2 full rotations then check that the marks were still aligned?
