Bad Fuel Injectors of Fuel Pump?

ok my cars CTS was bad. and Recently one afternoon after letting the car sit it didnt want to start. so i replaced the sensor n still no start. Car cranks but no start. So i went down the list, Checked for spark and there was. Now i was checking for fuel. When i unplugged the fuel rail gas spilled. this is what made me think injectors were prbly bad because if the fuel rail was loaded with gas it would of ignited my engine right?? after cranking it some more i rechecked to see if the fuel rail had restocked on fuel, but this time it was empty?? so bad Fuel Pump?? Both? some one please guide me to a running DSM.

Turn 21 on the 23rd and wanna hit up them cougars at the bars instead of these lil girls i meet at parties so any advice will be greatly appreciated

It could also be your injector resistor pack or fuel pump relay even.

i honestly dont know what it sounds like. but i do hear something charge on as i turn the key on. if the injectors resistor pack is bad does that mean the fuel rail would be empty on gas after spilling it?

If you hear a humming noise when you turn on the key then the fuel pump is turning on.

To see if your injector resistor pack is working take your positive terminal off the battery, wait a few seconds then put it back on. You should hear a clicking noise coming from under the intake manifold if its working.

Try check to check your fuel pump take it out and tested if is weak them change it but if is strong is good check your injector with a tester also it would be good if change your fuel filter

just went outside n turned the key and i heard a click under the manifold. but i didnt hear a click as i reconnected the terminal.

well i changed my fuel filter about 4k miles ago. i was able to suck fuel out of the hose from the fuel filter that goes to the fuel rail on the injectors. so best bet is a weak fuel pump? thanks for those who are helping

check the fuel pump! My problem was the fuel pump. i just took off the back seat and the cover on the pump which is 4 screws. i tapped the top of it with something a lil heavy and started right up. Try that and see if it works.

In my experience the trouble maker has been the stock fuel pump. Ive ner had a problem with the injectors. Just change em out to a 190 or 255 then have more fun

For future reference the fuel rail should always be filled with fuel and pressurized as well.

Spanky you need to change your fuel pump before it leaves you stranded somewhere. That "tap it with a hammer" trick isn't going to work forever.

Absolutely.

You can run a 190 on stock fpr. If u want to go cheap get an EVO 9 fuel pump it flow close to the 190. And u can get them pretty cheap on and EVO forum.
