im a noob when it comes to dsm. but i love then. im putting my car back together and i needed a turbo. i got one from this guy he said it was a 16g and from reading om here i know thats a good beginner turbo. but when i looked at it its a 20g turbo. should i sell it and get a 16g or keep it

Thats even better because if you wanted to upgrade after that a 20g would have been a good step!

I'd go with the 20g personally, I'd jsut be sure to add the apropriate mods to support the 20g soon.

well i want about 300hp. like i still need a flywheel o2hosing jpipe intercooling kit and water , oil lines for the turbo that i cant find anywere

You can't find them? That's weird. Have you tried looking in the right places.

when i got the turbo from the guy it was just the turbo. i have looked on ebay for TD05 20g turbo oil and water lines but nothing. have any ideas where i can find some

i believe the 20g still has the same(or at least very similar) Center housging, so you should be able to re-use water and oil lines.

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong. I know on the starions i could re-use my lines upgrading from a 12a to 14b to 16g to 17c to 19c to 20g. They were all the same.

thanks guys

does the 20g turbo have the same oil and water lines as the 16g

a stock turbo and a 16g uses the same lines right? would make sense to me that a stock and a 20g would use the same also.

Fuel, Fuel, Fuel, and a way to control the fuel or you better keep the boost low like 7 psi low or you are gonna cause some serious damage. I went big with injectors and got ecmlink to control the fuel. A larger fuel pump is also gonna fall into the equation. If you are just going to bolt the 20g on to get the car going I would seriously keep boost way down or you run the risk of running dangerously lean and knocking. Just some things to keep in mind.

extreme psi is a great vendor as is MAPerformance etc. look at the ads at the top right of the screen or in the vendors section here.

keep the 20g its a lot of fun!
