first upgrade to a 1g

I am new to Dsm turbo car. I want to make a little bit more power does anyone have any ideas what i should look into 1st. My hole top end of my engine is new plugs,wires,head gasket,studs,water pump,timimg belt,power steering belt .I just dont know if i should start with Fuel stuff or Exhaust its going to be a street car. I want it to run mid 12s thats my goal no faster and want to do everything right the 1st time and not blow it up.

The exhaust always helps open it up a little bit. I would get something to tune with so you have monitor all your upgrades, and get a boost gauge, oil pressure, and usually a a/d is good too!

Question about when you did the head bolts.Are they aftermarket, like arp, or oem?

I already have a Boost gauge in my pod.My exhaust is all staright pipe with no cat or flex pipe. I want to get rid of all the vacumn hoses that are in my intake pipe but dont know if that will mess anything up

Well looke like i have more info your wanting..Heres how to delete the vacume lines.Its pretty straight forward once u start tearing them out. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...-speed-shop-vacuum-diagram-removal-1g-2g.html

Auto ohh god where do i start.Ok,get rid of the auto ecu for a 5 speed, that will make u able to hold the break and build boost(brake boosting)The auto ecu retards the timing,the 5 speed allows this with a simple ecu swap.

As far as exhaust, get rid of the auto manifold for a 1g 5 speed or a 2g manifold..Then the rest is up to you.Like a 2g o2 housing and 3 inch turboback.

I was in your spot about a month, I barely bought my car not too long ago to so idk as much yet but ive done research everyday since and I thnk maintenance should be first, my goal is 11s ive bought a load of parts now but I honestly dont know where il end up wit all those parts , I already spent about 3k
