I just installed a Fuel Lab AFPR. Now every time on the first start, it will not start (like there is no pressure). This happens even 30 minutes later after I stop the vehicle. After the second start it will start. I have searched and found nothing (maybe not using the right keywords). Any input would be great ( I also removed my EVAP system at the same time, will try putting it back together this weekend as a solution).

Product defect. My friend has the fuel lab afpr and it does the same thing. He has tried to contact fuel lab a ton of times and they have never gotten back with him. No problems past that with the afpr, but it is annoying.

By product defect, do you mean thats happens with all fuel labs, or just some?? Anyone have any suggestions how the vacuum lines should be ran with the EVAP connected?

Thanks

Is any one else having trouble with their fuel lab afpr? I have contacted the techs to no avail. Thanks for your help.

Try just turning the key forward letting the fuel pump run then starting it. It should start on first try then. The problem is the fpr is not holding fuel pressure in the rail so it takes the pump a min to build pressure. Thats the reason for having to crank it twice. So you can either try the key thing or change afpr sorry man.

The engineers at fuel lab gave me the same suggestion. I have let it prime for 1 min several times and it stills takes me holding the key down for about 15 seconds before it starts. Any other suggestions, thanks 1AWD90!

I have an Aeromotive that does the same thing. I looks like it won't hold any pressure after the engine is switched off. It's a real PITA. Not good for the battery or starter either.
