Hey all. First I'd like to apologize for not being able to paste my dyno sheet yet, but I'll have it up tomorrow.

I pulled a 298whp and 281ft/lbs with the EVO3. :thumb:

This was an extremely conservative tune @ 14lbs. My wastegate is getting stuck so it caused some creeping at 10lbs all the way to 14-15lbs. We turned up the boost to 14lbs and it stayed. As soon as I let the carbon build up burn off, we think that we'll be able to tune a little better. We also want to let the car run for a while because it hasn't been started or driven in over 1.5 years. I've been working on it so patiently as well as the shop I have it at.

I really wish that I had the dyno sheet(s) to show, but I left them in the wrong car!

What dyno was this on? Between the Mustang dyno and the Dyno Jet you'll see a difference in #'s. In reality #'s mean crap. There is a saying "dyno queen" or "track king" Which would you rather be?

Amen.

I put down 270(on a mustang dyno) at 20psi and all the bolt-ons with my Evo 3, but I was trapping 111mph, so obviously the car was making more power.

Very true I dynoed 308 on a mustang dyno with my b16g. And run 11.8's. There are two types of people that use dyno's the ones that use it to tune (the corect way) or the ones that want to say they have x amount of hp. ROFL

Look guys I'm not trying to be dyno queen or track king. I'm trying to get my car running good numbers so I can take it out.
I've posted my dyno in the " Should i get this EVO III Big 16G Turbo" thread.

come on..at 14psi? Are you serious? I dont see how that is physicaly possible....first of all, its almost impossible to get an evo 16g that low....and at 14psi, it doesnt technically flow enough air to support 300whp....are you sure your boost gauge or your keyboard is in check? LOL

Don't knock it before you try it. Dyno sheets don't lie. They may give different numbers from one dyno to the next and other role playing factors, but they don't lie. And if you think the DEFI gauges are lying and a piece of trash, take it out with them. If you think that Turbo XS is a trash boost controller take it out with them. :)

actually when my mbc broke and i was running a line from the wastegate nipple to the t'd off bov line i held rock solid at 11 psi on my evo316g, so its definitely possible to hold 14

It's good to hear that someone else has had success with this turbo spooling with low boost. :thumb:

i believe you man cause i am at 14 psi on my evo 3 and i pull on 03-04 cobra's all the time. and they are stunned that i am only at 14 so yea good job man now crank the boost and shoot for the sky.....

Why do I not believe you??? Oh wait, because that is almost physically impossible unless the cobras are just regular gts with cobra badges and an exhaust leak? :notgood:

yeah i was about to say something but i didnt wanna be mean, at 10 psi with my evo3 i was barely pullin as hard as my t25 at 16 probably about the same if not a little less, wasnt anywhere near cobra range, wasnt fast at all, even a fake badged gt could have destroyed me

Actually back in my 16g days I ran a 12.81 at 18 psi with all the supporting mods. The problem with this is that was tuned and at 18 psi ... he's only at 14. I was seeing mid/low 13s at 16 psi back then. A cobra running mid 13s or slower should be driven straight into the ocean.

Stock cams and gears.
I've got my dyno posted in another thread. Why can't some of you except the fact that I am pulling 298whp @ 14lbs?
Alot of you said it's impossible to reach 400whp with the EVO3 and SBR did it.
Just goes to show that anything is possible.

im not denying it, im tryin to prove you point man, congrats, i think its awesome personally keep it up ;)

can you prove the boost level?

Also SBR had a stroker motor to help them achive that.

I made what you did on my car with the small 16g at 25psi well i made a tad more. But anyway i make 303awhp on pump with the small 16g and cams at 20psi. I have a hard to beliving that you are only 14psi and making almost 300whp.

How the hell do you want me to prove my boost? Are you that ####ing stupid? Wait...don't answer that. Do you believe that air exists outside? It can't exist because you can't see it, right? That's about as stupid a question as proving my boost.

Just let it be that I made 298whp on 14lbs. Why don't you check out my mods list and that might help some of you make a better statement about not being able to make 298whp on 14lbs. :thumb:

There is nothing special about your mod list ... Maybe you were running some really agressive timing? The fact that you are on a fwd dyno helps compared to an awd dyno. Those numbers are still very high for 14 psi on a 7.8:1 compression motor. I was just wondering why you are only running 14 psi actually????

298 whp SAE... being that you are in Utah the correction factor was most likely 1.25+... so your numbers are believeable.

Your uncorrected numbers are going to be way less. Like 250 whp range.

thank you, i thought i was the only one

probably 01 cobra, or foxbody cobra, LOL...ur not gonna pull on a 400hp sc cobra with 14psi...just not really gonna happen(now if you mean pull like rev it up and launch on him and shut down at 40mph) then yes, i believe you
