I seen Tym from buscher do his old one in RWD to dyno. I dont rember how he did it, but I rember seeing the video. I dont think it was for daily use or anything, just to dyno it.

chris blanc from burlington mass... is modifying his stock awd tranny to make it rwd as we speak....how ....???? he wont tell me...and its going to be daily driven....

My question is why do you want RWD? The rearend wont like getting alot of power all by itself. Sure you may be quick and OK with street tires that will spin, but then you will get beat from a light. Then you decide to put slicks or DR's on so that you can be back to were you were with AWD and you will break the rear. No advantages except to say you did it.

Step 1: Get a set of junk axels and cut the shaft out. Plug the holes in the transmission and in the wheel hubs.

Step 2: Either buy a VCE or have your center diff welded and install

Step 3: Enjoy RWD.

I dont see the benefits of getting RWD. I've been driving mustangs since the age of 16 (I'm 23 now) and the AWD is sooo much better than RWD. I dont understand why someone would do that. Unless they wanna fishtail around a corner.

RWD is a heck of a lot of fun, but if you have AWD why would you want to diminish your traction?

heh, why don't you sell your AWD Talon to someone that wants AWD, since there are plenty of people that would love it. Then go buy yourself a Mustang, Camaro, 300ZX, etc. if you want RWD.

This is just some question thats been running around in my head, but, is there a way you can convert an AWD Talon (96 Talon TSi AWD) to a RWD? wut kind and where could i find a LSD for that? or is there any mods i can do to do that?? Thanx :talon:

Second time it's been asked this month.

Ever notice you never hear about RWD DSMs? It's because they don't work.

Fully-fabricated dragsters are no more DSMs than NASCAR Tauruses are Fords.

Well Saturday I brought my gsx to the track for an import wars event. My first run of the day was a disaster. I launched the car and slowly but surely my car did an identity change b4 the 1/8 mile. My car went rwd. Kinda scary when your on the track especially with rwd tendencies(squiggly). But I limped the car off and parked it. After watching the rest of the event. I embarked on the 130 mile drive home. For a car with a blow tranny it still doesnt make any noise. So far ive put about 260 miles on it. Also since it was two wheel drive.......Ive done a lil drifting......and my favorite the dyno.......I went today outta plain boredom and cause I could.........I made 6 passes my worst was 162.40rwhp and 135.28trq @ 8psi(also i have a blown 16g) and my a/f ratio was so rich......so I raised the boost to 15psi and got 246.78 whp and 218.88 torque.....after a 10minute rest 243.08 whp and 223.97 torque.........so thats my lil story my car is in limp mode and I made the best outta of it...........now i need a shep tranny and nice 20g ........... :thumb: :dsm:

 Good job destorying your center diff by driving hundreds of miles with a broken front axle or whatever happened,

That sucks, though I can't say i think it was smart to drive with broken axles are whatever you broke.
