recently my 1990 n/t talons transmission died on me with the third gear synco break. i have a awd tranny that works good and the flywheel, clutch, and starter.

so i was wondering how should i go about making my awd transmission into a fwd? ive heard of welding the differential and something to about the viscous coupler.

im very good at welding so its not a experiance problem but i cant find a thread on how to weld the diff. do anyone have pictures?

what else will i need? how will the steering and handling be after converting it?

i dont have any money to buy a new fwd tranny so this will need to work. im also going to swap my turbo motor into the car. i just want to be able to drive it again. i alreeady have a dd so handling is not a big issue.

thanks for the help.

any relation to the marsh's in pa?? just checking ### you dont see that name offten :D (sorry for being offtopic)

I'm NOT saying BUY I'm saying rebuilt. There is a significant price difference in buy vs rebuilding.

Just contact Jacks Transmission or Team Rip. Parts for third gear synchros will only cost $100.
the thing is that its a 90 n/t tranny and i want to put the turbo motor in it so i dont feel like re using the fwd tranny. i also had the awd tranny for sale for a while but noone wants a 90 awd tranny either since they were redesigned in 91 to be better.

so i really dont care about buying a new tranny i just want to know how to correctly turn it into a fwd tranny.

also Grimis theres no relationship between who you are talking about. marshall is my first name and marsh is my nickname

heh, did't hurt to ask, for a sec i thought i had another cusin :D
