calgary,
Hey I had recently swapped a new tranny into my 1990 5peed awd talon, the car had never leaked a drop of oil before, but since the new tranny has been put in, its been leaking some oil. the tranny is from a AWD laser, and i figure they should be the same tranny?? I have also heard that the laser trannys are notorious for going through transfer cases, and i think thats where my leak is coming from. Someone let me know if they have heard of this problem with swapping awd laser transmissions
thanks!:dsm:

Laser transmissions are the exact same as talon transmissions. Why would Mitsu/Chrysler make a different transmission for the same car with a different trim package?

You are probably leaking from your transfer case or axle seals. Go under the car and look.

thanks man. yes i was laeking from the transfer case, i replaced some seals in the tranny and the driveway looks clean so far!
