Resolved Awd fuel pump removal suggestions.

Is there any way of removing the fuel pump without cutting the metal to reach it. I'd rather not cut anything so I can keep my car mint. I heard removing the gas tank is an option, but are there any more ways because that's a pain especially messing with the rear subframe?

All you have to do is remove the rear seat and take the 4 screws out that hold the access plate out and than the pump will come right out. Make sure to unhook the fuel hose from the line under the car before trying to remove it from the sending unit. The nut on the sending unit doesn't turn so you will have to thread the hose off of it.

There also are some lines to remove and a plastic white ring. But no cutting is required at all!!

There's one line by the fuel pump that you can't reach because its under the floor pan though?

Are you talking about the supply line? There are 3 lines, the supply, the return and a vent. The return and vent are held on with a simple clamp, the supply is screwed on with a flare fitting. As i already said, take the line loose from the bottom and than spin it off the pump.

The line your referring to goes under the car abd connects to a hardline. Remove it from there. Unhook the other two connections held on by clamps, and remove your wiring.

There are two ends to that line going to the gas pump hanger, if you don't want to cut the car to get at the top side of it then go at the other end of the hose from under the car.
