Does anyone know which number is marked on the bottom side of 5th gear? I'm finishing my rebuild and had another awd trans open by it. the other one i had was rebuilt but crapped out so i got it for an intermediate shaft. I think the larger gearset was from the rebuilt (taller 5th gear?) The numbers i have for the main 5th are 41 and 64. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The smaller the input shaft gear the taller the ratio.

If you want the tallest of the two, I would take the smallest diameter input 5th and largest intermediate 5th and stick those in there.

Short 5th would be the biggest input 5th and smallest intermediate 5th.

Is the tooth count the same on both gear sets??
