Anyone else run into the problem on the 2g with the rear (closest to the firewall) mount of the OEM bolts being too short? The Avid mount is much thicker at the base than the OEM mount and the stock bolts dont even begin to thread into the cross member.... Or at least thats the problem I have run into. Can anyone give me a heads up on a replacement bolt size? Thanks in advance.

No they didnt send new bolts with the kit. Also found out during the install that the studs on the passenger side of the transmission anre too short for the thickness of the base of that mount as well. Can only manage to get a few threads to grab on that side. The rear mount doesnt thread at all. I already managed to get some longer bolts though locally in order to get my engine dropped back in seeing how Im way behind schedule on this swap.

i ran into the same problem. i just took the old bolt up to autozone and got one thats a little longer. works great. make sure you bring your old bolt there so you can get one w/ the same thread pitch.:thumb:

Yea I ended Up heading to the local parts store too to get the correct size bolts to fit up the new mounts. You would definitely think these things would come with all needed hardware considering the cost of the kit.

Anyone notice that the front motor mount opening (where the bolts goes throught) is so big? The bushing is super thin making the opening way too big. The trans mount is so thich the nut only grabs a few threads. The driver side mount bottom surface where it mates to the mount on the block is not flat. I also did not get any hardware. Totally disappointed!!!

Yes there were definitely some fit and finish issues and these things definitely should have come with hardware for the price. Also, the aluminum sleeves that run through the center of the mounts (that the bolts go through) were cut too long on mine preventing them from sliding right in as a bolt on application. I had to take them to the grinder and trim them down quite a bit (all except for the drivers side mount). These could have been considered a great product, but for the price I expect better fitment and to have all the required hardware included in the deal. Definitely not a straight forward bolt on application for the 2G DSM anyhow.....
