AVC-R Install

I have a 96 GST.....and I want o know any probs or concerns from anyone that has installed this thing in a 2G. I did search and there is a article in the tech archives but that deals with 1G. If anyone has PICS or anything that might help, please post ASAP!

Hey im about to install an avc-r too... how did you get the wiring harness through the firewall?

Ok dude do you have AIM or MSN because if you do I can talk you through the entire install, making it quick and simple, if you go by reading the directions, your are going to have issues.......just finished installing mine, works perfect and no CELS....get back with me ASAP @ [email protected]

Ya mine is all installed too. I drilled a new hole on the left side of the transaxle shift cables. Also run it through the engine side first so you wont have to get both of those large connectors through. With the large harness just fold it to the side and it will go in the hole very straight.

There's a larger rubber boot around the steering column, where it goes through the firewall. This is the most common spot to run all wires/hoses through the firewall. The install instructions that come with the AVC-R are pretty straight forward, so shouldn't run into any issues. Now on the other hand, I think the operating instructions lost abit in translation . If you take the time to learn it, you'll love it. I'd recommend it 100% to anyone who wants complete control of their boost & likes to play around with things
