And that's how it ended.
The car just shut off mid run.
The timing belt has little nicks down the left side spaced about an inch apart all the way around the belt. I pulled the valve cover and nothing looks like it's out of place.
I'll do a compression test to tomorrow just to make sure. I'm pretty sure something took out the crank position sensor. The plate bent and put the nicks in the belt. I won't get a chance to pull the timing belt cover off until tomorrow or Tuesday.
I do have some good action shots of my car. I just have to get them off my friends camera.
Oh, and the Dunlop Direzza's get a bit
from me. They rocked today.

Today is a great day. Fixing my car this time will be cheap.

Well, I still have the shaft, but I don't spin it. I didn't want to mess with a freeze plug.
And about the tires.
I was running with the Central PA Region SCCA. I can't afford more than one set of tires, so I went with a set that could do double duty (summer and racing). They do quite well at that. The car still handles like a pig, but I have zero suspension work done to the car.
