So last night at like 10 (pm that is), I started out with nothing to do so I figured I would go and clean out my car. I vacuumed the car clean and then I figured that I should fix my horn since it was intermittant. I took apart the horn switch on my car and cleaned it all up and tested the circut to make sure it was the switch. put everything back together and the horn works now flawlessly. Thinking about doing a write up on that.
Then I remembered that my rear sprayer for wiper fluid wasn't working so I starting trying to figure out why. I removed all the access panels from the hatch of the car and then got rid of the spare and the panels to remove the center piece from the rear to check the fluid pressure line and it seemed to be holding fluid. I moved up to the nozzel and removed it from the car and left the plastic hose. Turned the key to the on position and pressed the button and fluid shot out of the tube all down the front of my car... so the pump is working... so the nozzle must be clogged. after running lots of hot water through it and blowing, I felt it a lot cleaner until now it doesn't shoot the window but hits the tail WTF.
Anyways, while I was reassembling the rear end, I got tired of the damn rear hatch light flickering on and off so I removed the cover and pulled the light out and unplugged it. I removed the fuse looking bulb and used a wire brush and file to clean up the contacts the best I could. Then without the bulb I plugged it in and using a test light moved the assembly around and there was no fluctuation in the light so I unplugged it and placed the bulb back in and plugged in it.
I see the light and it was bright
!!
Finally I thought I was done. I was getting ready to close up for the night when I saw the molding on the inside of the windshield for the headliner hanging slightly because of the autostart wire for the antenna hanging out that one of the previous owners had for the car. So I started on removing the wire which led me to fix the molding and completely remove the autostart from the car... adding another 3 hours to me working on the car tracing wires under my dash
. Whoever owned this car did a fantastic job of soldering all the autostart wires to the existing wires and wiretying the shit out of everything. I cut everything out and taped over the exposed wires and solder holding the stock wiring together. I also had to fix one piece that was totally cut and re-wired to a relay or switch of some kind. I was afraid the car might not start otherwise. Anyways.under my dash look SOO much cleaner now but getting the knee guard under the steering wheel back on... was a complete bi***. The last screw just wouldn't line up no matter what I did. so finally I got it secured, threw all my tools back and started the car to make sure it ran. Which it did. Then I went inside to bed.
As much as doing all that sucked becasue I am sick
, it really gave me some piece of mind and makes me feel much happier that I am fixing all the small shit that has been plauging my car since I got this one.
IF anyone thinks that it would be good to actually have a 1G disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of the horn assembly in the steering wheel, let me know and I can start working on something.

Of course the list of things to fix goes on and on and on. But hopefully one day, I will be able to get done with most of it and just enjoy showing off my car and driving it with the utmost joy of hearing the turbo spool
.
