Has anyone put 15's on there 1G eclipse / talon / laser?
Mines a GSX, don't know if the brakes are bigger or not than a non turbo or awd.
Mainly for autocross. Smaller wheels for lighter weight, cheaper tires, a bit lower... blah blah.

So if yes... How wide can I go? offset? =] THANKS!

Cool. Not exactly sure yet what class. But they will double duty between drag and autox. Thanks!

You may want to consider an alternate set of wheels for autocross if you are serious about it. Drag racing is entirely different.
Check out your local group's classing rules. The SCCA site is a good starting point. Tire selection is only one of the classing statutes to consider. Make a list of your mods and compare them with class restrictions.
Many people think that in any racing, it is all about power, but in autocross, your mods should focus on suspension and tires.

You should be looking into two different sets if you're serious. Wheel and tire combinations are the complete opposite of each other in the two sports.

Drag= small rim, big soft sidewalls
Road race/autox = big rims, small stiff sidewalls

Its all about sidewall flex. In drag racing you want as much as possible to soften the launch and reduce stress on the drivetrain, while in road racing/autox you want a stiffer side wall to reduce roll and increase steering response.

Dually noted. This is just my first mitsubishi, not my first racecar.
I'm more going to build for autocross, street and club racing, but use the strip for benchmark testing and general fun. Shift points, upgrades... Blah blah

I've always run smaller tires than most.

I Would look at getting a set of wheels and tires dedicated to autocross if you are serious.

You want entirely different things from drag tires than you do autocross.

Sticky and wide doesn't get it..
