auto talon tranny slip

My auto talon will slip out if gear and the rpms just climb till I let off the gas and it will go back into gear. Usually happens in second or third gear. Overdrive is on when it happens. Any thought of what's causing it?

Sounds like you need a full tranny rebuild bro. My o.d. was doing the same thing where it would grab very occasionally and replaced it with an ipt end clutch kit. Never had a problem since then. But if its doing it in 2nd and 3rd then you need a complete rebuild.

a way to just get by for now would be install an ipt shift kit and it should solve that issue, but wont permanently fix it. Itll just cover it up like a bandaid

When was the last time the fluid AND filter were changed? If not within the last 40-60k or you have never changed it I would do that first. Also if it is slipping in second and third that is more likely the rear clutch than the OD clutches.
