auto awd to manual fwd?

I have a chance to get a 5spd fwd tranny for cheap and i was thinking of swapping it into my 94 tsi awd that has an auto tranny, can this be done? Im pretty sure the 5spd tranny is comming out of a 93 tsi with axels and pedal assembley and cables. Just wanted to see if this was possible?

I wouldnt do it. FWD trans into an AWD. To much work to not have AWD, Also is the FWD trans from a turbo? if not the gearing is diffrent, just given you a heads up. I would hold out and get a 5spd AWD trans.
