Or you can pull it off and jump it with the wires still hooked up. If the bendix and shaft kicks in. Have the selinoid replaced.

It's more likely a ground opposed to a bad starter. Where do you have the starter grounded?

+1 I always ran it through one of the start bolts on the tranny

Mhmm~ Just make sure you don't have the ground grounded on the starter solenoid as most people seem the want to do. If you do that, get ready for a bunch of blown electrical circuits. The perfect place to ground it would either be a trans bolt, or one of the start bolts themselves.

Isn't one of the upper starter/tranny bolts the factory ground anyway? Mines grounded out at the upper most rear bolt and no issues for me.

I have returned from Mexico guys and I was freaking ready to get off that cruise ship.

Thanks for all your congrats on the marriage. AL congrats on the sweet Talon. She is

so shiny and purrrdie .... now its time for me to start buying parts. I have already

bought a Gates racing timing belt. about to buy bearings and a complete gasket kit with

cometic head gasket from map performance. I only have one question which I

emailed map about before I left on my cruise was the gasket kit says 7 bolt but in side
'
notes it (93-94). Is there a difference ? I don't see why it would 7-bolt is 7-bolt

right(mine being a 95) ? Anybody have any insight? I don't want to buy something and

be the wrong part. Ohh yeah I forgot to mention that they never emailed me back. I'll probably

end up calling them tomorrow morning just to be safe.

Just picked up 2 12 subs and a 600w amp for the cut. And 2 10 subs with a 400w amp to go in there. To much is never enough. Haha anyone have a capacitor laying around? Lol

I never relied on caps. It went with reserve amps in the battery, bigger alternator, and large wire. 1/0 wire

I've ran several 1200+ rms Watt systems and never ran a cap.

I think we may start a fun little motor build. A turbocharged fuel injected 5 HP Briggs flat head for a go cart. Hella fun.

My alternator on the cut is already a 100amp alt. I know it can handle it, but I hate seeing lights flicker when I bump.

What the explorer?

Haha. Yes.

Talon is just about ready. Turbo should be in tomorrow. Then it's just installing it, the exhaust/manifold with the new open dump 02, getting the wideband installed, double checking wiring, bleeding the brakes and clutch, tighten a few bolts here and there, and drop the battery in and viola! ;D

Car is overheating what's the most common cause the car sat for 3 years befor this thanks I'm thinking thermostat oh and btw it was not a bad starter it was the clutch relay switch

Figures it'd be something simple. Always is. Lol.

Most common issues are that you have air in the system, a bad thermostat, or your radiator is a bit nastier inside than it needs to be. If it's sat out for that long, go ahead and change the thermostat, fill the coolant reservoir up (the vehicle will burp itself) and flush out the radiator. Should alleviate the issue assuming everything else is in good functioning condition. Also ensure that your fans are switching properly.

Early 7 bolt is completely different from the late 7 bolt between years. You'll have to be absolutely sure you're ordering the tensioner for the correct year, otherwise you're going to have a bad time. -Insert Southpark meme picture here-

Love the South Park reference. I would flush the radiator rally well to prepare for winter. Alex is right, damn domestics seem like the only things with burp valves haha. I would also flush out the heater core lines just to be safe...

I actually made a comment about it, but it saw the "<" and the ">" as command promptings. Lol.

Looking for 2 small wedge 10' sub boxs. Will trade a double 10" box or 2 12" wedge style boxes. I need to split the 10s

Finally got some new tires and a fresh coat of plastidip on the wheels. I think they turned out quite nice for 20$ in plastidip. Here's a before and after.
