I found the cel on link. Its from the ETC sensor. I have 4.7 volts at the plug which is correct, I'm going to get a new sensor and see if that fixes the problem.

Right now I have the fmic off to have some welding done on it.

Hey Bob, sorry I didn't return your call. I hit the flight to Florida a little sooner than I told you and my phone was dead all through the trip. Been so preoccupied since I got here I just remembered that you called. >.<

So you have everything setup and ready to go?

anyone wanna help me figure out what i need to get my car under its own power. it hurts me to see it just sitting there collecting dust.

also anyone happen to have a flywheel for a 7 bolt awd

Hey i completly understand,I stay busy. Thats why its taken me so long to get this car running.

Yeah car is starting easily now. Have to get a new ETC sensor and I have the fmic off and going to the welder this week.

Once I get the fmic back on it will be ready. I do have some logs of the engine running.

Yeah it is right now and I'm just lost on it

Yeah I just don't know what all else I'll be needing to finish it up so it atleast runs

Do you still have a complete engine?

You still looking for bolts and such?

I actually went to several of the different part stores and hardware stores to find the exterior bolts. Things like the bolts for the timing belt cover, cop plate, turbo, and starter.

Yeah I have your block and my head put together right now. I need to get the starter plate for it and a clutch flywheel combo. Just don't all the little things I'm gonna need

Do you have a Chilton or Haynes repair manual? That right there is half the battle. I know they don't say what bolt size goes here or there. You got to just stick them in and see if they thread and what not. Do a test run on putting bolts in the right spot and figure out about how many your going to need and take those with you when you get more.Bobs right you can get a lot of bolts at different parts houses.

We have a hardware store here that has many of the metric bolts your looking for. Even autozone has some of the more common stuff and in the grades you will need.

You also have a fastenall in Jacksonville that should have most everything you need.

Yeah but I know I'm missing bolts and nuts just have to look and see what I'm missing. I have a chilton cause haynes manuals kinda sucks.

I found this an interesting read. It is the recommended break-in for airplane engines. I do not see this as a drive it like you stole it recommendation, but it also says not to baby the break-in. For turbo applications, a constant application of power around 65% throttle is sufficient. It also went to state that varying the throttle has little effect. The higher pressures of the turbo provide the necessary force to seat the rings.
There is a lot to read about internal combustion aviation engines. I know they are not the same as our 4G63 but the theory for internal combustion is. Aviation engines are build to produce lots of power and be reliable.

I hope its ok to post this link. I think it has some good information in it.
Break It In Right

you know if he still wants to trade for it?

Idk send him a pm. You thinking of trading your dsm? I found a guy in searcy that bought a 95 talon awd for 600. I herd them revving it up a couple of houses down from my buddies house so i went to investigate. They had no clue on what was wrong with it and after a couple of minutes of looking at it i told them they had a blown head gasket. I took off the radiator fill cap and had them start it and there was smoke coming out of it. LOL tell tell sign of exhaust in the coolant. The owner also had a a vtec accord with supposedly forged internals. So i raced him and he didn't stand a chance. Hopefully he gets tired of the dsm soon and I'm a swoop in there on that one.:sneaky:. That article was interesting bob. Has some good points in there about the turbo applications. We don't have to worry about 400 degree cylinder head temps tho. If i had one to break in I would run it at idle for an hour solid and rest for an hour. Then Drive it about 100 miles keeping it under 4500 rpms the whole time. Then just drive it normally till about the 500 mile mark never breaking the 4500 rpm barrier. Some say 1000 miles but i would be confident at the 500 mile mark

yea I talked to him and he going just see but yea I was thinking of it mostly trying to get a bike.

I would not get a bike unless you have a dd. It sucks It sucks in the winter and rain.

Btw did anyone else know that dave chappell was coming to the robinson center the 13? I wish I did........ id love to go see him.

Found an AWD Spyder. :p Sorry boys.

In any case - I have a 3000GT with a lot of tasteful mods and over $40,000 in documentation on the car. It just needs reassembled, the hood either repaired/replaced, and an ECU. Very tasteful mods. Rebuilt engine/trans. Very nice overall, just needs a little TLC.

The paint has a lifetime warranty so if you can get it running, drive it over to Texas and get it repainted.

91 3000GT VR4 AWD

I'm flexible on the price.
