8K is about the right price range for it, to be 100% honest. However that's the reason I'd like to see about snagging it. :p I was just talking about it to a friend the other day. " Man, I'd love to get this DSM over in Newark. Poor thing never gets driven and it drives the owner crazy." At least then you'd know she'd be treated right and get the attention she deserves!

Tell me about it. -.- Should have been a damn LS1. Either way it impresses me constantly. Drove it over to Walnut Ridge just yesterday. Left Paragould with a 1/2 tank. Showed up with the needle having barely moved. ;3

You have my number if you actually want to seriously discuss it. I could have the car sold tomorrow to be 100% honest and have a cash offer for you that you'd have a hard time turning down.

Yeah I'll be putting a lot of miles on ole red but thanks to greanbeans with the short block I'm not worried about it at all. Idk whats up for next Saturday I hope to to be getting my mbc and my new struts in by then and Installing them. I bought a whole set of kyb gr-2 struts yesterday. It will be an all day thing if i get them in by the weekend. Since i don't have a shop anymore to work in I'll be in the dirt at spencers unless he lets loose of the shop key for the day:sneaky:

That block doesn't need much if anything as far as work just the internals need a little work. I how it does you some good

You can get an o-ring at the auto parts store relatively cheap. Just take the dipstick tube with you or make guess. To small is better than big in this case

Yeah I'm going to use those pistons. The one with the nick in the side skirt doesn't look to be anything more than that just a nick...but the front case on the oil pump has what looks to be a crack on it but again I know a guy that can weld aluminum so just minor details. I am however going to either regrind the crank or find a good used one. Maybe find a good 4g64 crank and go for a stroker but idk if I can use evo 8's on a 4g64 crank. Any thoughts anyone.
 
Pretty sure you can use those evo 8s on a 4g64 crank but the crank should be good to use it shouldn't have to badge that much taken off it

I would find another piston. Might as well buildnit.right.

Also I need to find a better place to ground the motor. I have the big ground going through the bolt that goes through the transmission. I think that's why my alternator isn't working. I drove it.around the block and it was nutless. I couldn't get the turbo to spool let alone blow off. Urgh. Goddamn boostleaks now.
 
You can build done grounding straps for the engine just get some 2gauge wire and some ends and ground it out that way
 
Idk. My altrrnator might be over charging. My battery had power. I started my car 20 seconds before it. "Quit"
 
Anybody know a cheaper way of shipping an engine that 1000, called ups and fed ex and both quotes were 1000 or more.
 
Break it down and sell it all separately. Or have them cover the shipping cost.
 
found a company that will do it for 500 and the buyer is covering it.

I have a part out thread if any of you are looking for some parts.
 
anyone interested in a 2gb talon? im thinking about just selling mine straight up instead of fixing it up but im gonna buy the needed parts to fix it before i sell it
