Is there anywhere localy (In Arkansas) that I can get injector seals. While doing the boost leak test I found that all four injectors are leaking at the bottom going into the manifold.

The other big leak is the POS bov. Its leaking when closed and starts leaking bad at 10 psi. Even with it leaking at 10 psi it doesnt want to fully open and we are getting flutter. IMHO the TurboXS is a POS!

I did get the coolant sensor issue resolved, now im trying to stop boost leaks. Im having issues trying to get a running base tune. My son is itching to take the car but Im not going to release it till I know its right! I cant let him have it back and it not be right, thats just asking for failure... It needs to be dependable. Its his DD

Spark, Fuel, Boost leak, incorrectly adjusted TB, etc.

Depends on the conditions.

runs fine all the way to 5k then it kicks hard right at 5k and doesnt get much better the higher it goes. its on my buddies 90 talon he has

I keep adjusting the injector deadtimes trying to get the CombinedFT down but I cant get it to budge. Its staying around 16.8% and my wideband is reading 17:1 - 19:1

As an example, when my wideband is reading 17.3:1 the AFRatioEst is showing 12.5:1

Any suggestions?

Add more deadtime. Work with the global to dial in. If your deadtimes are too low then your car drops out of closed loop. Learned this the hard way.

So I told him to hook his recirc pipe back up and it stopped kicking but now its not boosting like it should from what he says. I dont know what to tell him. I know his fuel system is stock and he has a evo 3 16g on it. I recommended he get a wally 255 and some bigger injectors but he says the stock fuel setup is good till 16 pounds of boost. I don't really know what to tell him other then that. I know his head just got rebuilt and the little things out takes when you just do a head job on it. He says he might have a boost leak cause he has the pos clamps on it and not the good t bolt style clamps that I like. I dunno what to tell him on it. Any help would be cool cause its his dd

I would do a blt to rule that out first. Mine used to do the same thing.

Anybody watch e3? They are remaking NFS most wanted. Of course if you can't have a manual transmission I don't want the Damn game LOL (#### you hot pursuit) hell even the new forza looks legit.

When I get up to 150-200 on the deadtime it starts smoking like crazy. I am thinking about completly blocking off the BOV to get the idle adjusted. Thats the only boost leak I can find. Everything else seems to be good.

If I can just get the CombinedFT adjusted I will feel better about driving the car more.

1 : 16psi from an Evo 16g on a stock fuel system is damn near impossible. Granted, some people can do it, most can't. My friend picked up my old GST which had an e16g. He tried to hit 16psi and it'd break up and stutter. We resolved this with a simple fuel pump rewire.

2 : If he's using the poor screw clamps, he likely has boost leaks everywhere. Perform a boost leak test and fix any which are found.

150-200?!

Okay, I apologize that I've been ridiculously whooped and pass out when I get home, but Jesus man. x.x 300 is about the base that link gives. You're way below that. You need to increase dead time and adjust your global accordingly. Everything will fall into place as you near the proper line.

I might be able to remote in from work here today and take a look at your settings. Just let me know.

Greenbean... if you need the BLT back just let me know. I just need to make one for our car. I was supprised at the leaks we had. Was only one hose that was leaking but the injector seals and the bov were leaking as soon as pressure was added.

XiKeiyaZI... Man I totally understand. So your saying to keep going up on the deadtime? Im running stock injectors and pump with the OEM regulator for the time being.

You have the ability to get to a laptop right now at the car?

^ The only things I was worried about from E3 was Dead Space 3, Assassins' Creed III, Halo 4, and The Last of Us.

He has dreams I told him get what I have 550's and a wally 255

Good man.

Hey, remind me when you get here this weekend that I have a spare bleed-type boost controller and a Wideband sensor (No controller) to give you.
