Are you using the preset settings for the AEM in ECMlink? If so you should try using the linear wide and "generic" setting and calibrate it yourself so they match. There is a tutorial on the ecmlink wiki. You will tune via the ECM link data so you need them to match before you do any serious work on the car. The entire logging system and tune will be set off of these settings. How far off are they?
 
When you tuned the car and set up the idle and low speed settings did you account for that difference? If not, your car will be running and tuned 1.3 difference all the time, at idle it won't matter much but at WOT you may be running really rich and losing some power. When I get to a computer I'll find the link for you on how to set it up.
 
I can't WOT cause I have stock fuel pump right now. The walbro went out, and the external wastegate is set for 15psi and I'm not sure how to adjust it yet. I believe it's different sized springs. So I just need to idle tune and cruise tune for now.
 
I can get around 10-15psi before my couplers start to implode... then the leak... then popping... then no fun.

They are about seven years old so I need to replace them all, after that I should be running back up around 20psi with no issue. That's where it really puts a smile on your face.

LOL! That's a good way of putting it. I checked last night and found I was only set around 12ish-psi (From the MBC) It would pull until around 9-10psi before it'd start cutting out. After I fix the couplers (every last damn one of them) I'll set it up around 18-20psi (twice the boost without the cut) We'll see how much fun it is then, hahaha.

which reminds me, I went looking for anyone that has a awd 1g and it seems i'm the only one in the area. all you guys and your smelly 2g's, hahahaha.

Kinda burnt myself on 1gs LOL. I got quite few parts like interior wise, grey and black seats that look great. Let me know before I send the talon to the graveyard. Have bbody taillights and bumper as well, hatch, and your bumper whenever ya need it.
 
No joke, I need to get everything fixed so I can pick it all up from ya. I had one 2g and i'm not sure, it just didn't feel right to me and I went back to a 1g from then on. I just wish my current wasn't the 1gb... those 1ga look aggressive as hell.

For a 2g? Got one on Luke's car. Which side?

Also got a pair of tinted window. Tinted hatch glass, taillights, these are Abody BTW.

If your asking about the 1g handles you can have any color you need. As long as it's black. :)
 
I have the best luck... Starter is dragging now... Not even sure how it happened this time. Went for a drive... boosted a liiiiiittle and I start hearing this scratching sound... shut it off, couldn't find anything wrong at all. went to start it and the starter is all BLEAHHWAGERRRR LOL! these cars, gotta love'em. Now that I think about it, I hope to god it isn't my flywheel.


Edit : Piece of shit starter bolts came out somehow, Now I need new bolts cause the old ones are MIA.
 
That's what i'd like to know. Started just fine, went for a drive, maybe five or six miles and it started making that sound. Got it home, no bolts. :/
 
Car overheating... Just pulled the thermostat out and put in boiling water and doesn't open. I beat on it a little and it started to creep open very little when I put it back in. About to go pick another one up.

Replaced it, issue gone. Warms up to 210 then fan kicks on and cools to about 200 at idle. Runs anywhere from 198-203 when driving. When will I run out of problems to fix?!
 
I swapped mine out for red LED a long time ago. Give it a little more and the blinkers will stop working then your tail-lights will cut out... atleast that's the order mine did.
 
Well, bad news for me... Thanks to my job and other such things, I might end up having to sale my DSM.
 
I'm a manager at a highend hotel so it's not cash issues. I really don't want to sell it that's why it's a "might" but I need something. . . ya know, that doesn't breakdown every few days and can still make it out of the snow and ice. I'm really kicking myself in the ass on this one cause i've had this one for years.
 
Ah, know what your coming from. I'm a shift manager at a Pizza Hut and I work with the owner of all the pizza huts in Arkansas so I might have gotten you a job if it was a "needing more money" issue. Depending on how much you get for the car depends on how reliable the next one is going to be too.
