APEX'i exhaust...no cat? o2 sensor?

the GST exhaust goes:
down for then to the left with a 90 the down with a 90
GSX is damn near straigh.

the stock exhaust goes inbetween the control arm assembly the APEX goes underneath it. much like most all other DSM exhausts.

well, I didn't completely understand you, but you did answer my question...thank you sir. I was confused aboutit going under the control arm.
 
sorry its late..... too many fumes at the shop i guess ;) i meant to say the GST exhaust should go off the O2 housing, back about 2.5 feet then turn 90degrees to the left for about another 2ft then another 90dfree bend going down to the muffle and the pipe part right before your muffler will go under the control arm not in between the upper and lower like the stock exhaust.

ahhhh, much easier to understand now. Thanks again, man. We sitll can't haven't gotten the stock exhaust all the way off...we can't get the flanges off and we can't get the part that goes over the control arm to come out. We just cut the damn muffler off.
 
thanks everybody, the exhaust is on...the only real problem we had is that the O2 sensor doesn't fit in the bung...it won't even start to thread. I guess we just need to find a bolt that fits and plug it up. I don't know why, but if you look into the resonator, it pinches itself off to what couldn't be any bigger than 2.5", doubtfully even that big. Oh, and the smooth taper I had imagined was just different sized pipes welded in sequence LOL. Sounds good, though, and feels like it did away with some lag...we have yet to give it more than a short blast at 1:45 AM on a neighborhood, as I was a bit paranoid because police patrol PJ's (the kid with the DSM) neighborhood all the time (it's a big-ass subdivision called Woods and Irons which is on a golf course, as the name implies) and his license is suspended so I was driving it. We were trying to be quiet :shhh:
 
dont' worry about anything until its actually installed.........i was worried also and i have an RRE downpipe /w test pipe and N1 exhaust.......i put it on and no cel light ever came on and that was almost 10 months ago.
 
well, we already cut the wires to the O2 sensor to do the bypass mod. I need to get the bigger resistor before we can finish it. We ended up going to autozone to find a spark plug that fit the bung, but they didn't have one...but, they did have an oil plug that fit it perfectly :D . Plugging that hole made such a difference in sound, and seemingly in power. Car pulls well, but it already did, so I dunno. We didn't do any dyno runs, so we don't know anything about our power gains. In neutral, it revs into boost a lot easier than it did before. It used to stay in vacuum until like 5K RPM.
 
By revving the engine...? It's an auto and you can blow-off in neutral or park. I dunno if that's odd, and it definitely doesn't respond like it does when it's in gear, but it does do it. The reason I used that as the example was because we used to have to rev it high to build boost but it's much easier now...? Also, it looks like there is a piece missing on the transmission that covers the flywheel...any ideas?
