Just as the title says, has anyone tried it? Whats the best fluid for decent horsepower cars? I just don't trust the stock stuff really. I work at a car dealership where I can geta complete flush, but I just don't know what to replace it with. Any help would help guys!!!

I used the B&M this past summer when the tranny fluid was changed in my car. It's ok, I didn't notice a difference.

I'm going to use Redline ATF this next time around. I've heard better reviews on it.

Nice, but the difference in our cars is kinda dramatic. I have a N/T to Turbo 4g64. You have turbo factory with a trans that can handle boost. But I guess if they use the same fluid, which I hope they do, I am going to buy the Red Line then!

Trickshift is a big no-no... It may be impressive when you put it in, but the long term effects are costly.. Trick shift volumizes the tranmission seals to a point where they can be detrimental to proper operation. Transdude from IPT will corroborate what I am talking about and go into further detail. He recommends is putting in Mobile1 synthetic ATF and 1 bottle of Lubegard friction modifier..

Basically, any good Dexron ATF with a bottle of LubeGard Black will work (as should straight ATF+3 fluid, since that's kinda the stock formula-- I think). I just changed my fluid again today and used the Red Line High Temp ATF with a bottle of LubeGard. Too soon to tell if there will be any difference from the synthetic TrickShift I had in there before, though. And I didn't flush it-- just drained it myself, changed the filter, and refilled. BTW, anybody got an extra tranny pan bolt? :(

Thanks for the info....where can I get some of that TransGard? I live in Idaho.

Interesting! I have been using 100% B&M Originial Trick Shift in my AWD Eclipse since 1998 and have not had a trans failure because of a seal problem. Has anyone produced/shown a seal, "trick shift volumizes the transmission seals", from a DSM AWD or FWD turbo trans that created a trans failure.. B&M suggest that the Originial Trick Shift not be used in Electronic Transmissions because it is a aggressive fluid and may cause a little harsher lock-up of the TC(I haven't seen this) and the "average' driver would probably not like it. Also, would you like to clarify why one would use a "friction modifier" in a want-be performance transmision, is that not a slickner??

IRT your last question, LubeGard Black is not a "slickener"-- just the opposite in this case. It supposedly "de-slickens" a little bit because the Dexron ATF formulation is already a little too slippery for the Mitsu tranny.

BTW, I used synth B&M for over a year with no problems either, so I am also looking for some hard facts regarding TrickShift-related A/T failure.

I have had B&M non synthetic Trick shift in my automatic for quite some time and with 82k miles on it, it still shifts great with no leaks. I desided to use this fluid when i first picked up the car because it seemed like most of the guys from the automatic board used it or factory fluid.
