Anyone in the military?

I am currently in the Air Force. I am a SrA with just over 3 years in. AFSC of 2A353. Tactical Aircraft Maintenance. (i.e. F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35... so on and so forth)

Just came off active duty in 2009, was stationed at Ft Drum NY and now i signed up for the reserves to finish out my IRR time. Im an 11C Infantry Mortarman. Did two deployments to iraq, one to Baghdad and one to Kirkuk

congrats on the deployment if your wanting to go. I was a combat engineer in the Marine Corps and worked with navy EOD in Iraq. I just wanted to say thank for what you do man even if you do take most of our missions

Hooray for not getting paid! Or not getting paid on time! Or only getting half a paycheck!
I can't even explain how this makes me feel. You could make me work 90+hr weeks and I wouldn't be as upset.. at least I'd be getting paid!
People plan their lives around these little paychecks. So what is going to happen when they can't pay rent? Fall behind on bills? Ahh no big deal... not like bouncing a check or having financial troubles adds to trouble at home. I mean Congress will continue to get paid... and take the weekend off!!!
Cool... I mean I'm working this weekend. I know my brothers in arms in the sandbox will be working this weekend and the next... and the next... and the next.....
I'll be the first to say I'm starting to get fed up with this country. Stupidity gets rewarded. I guess I took the wrong route starting on a Master's program!

apache helicopter maintainer/crew chief. Deployed, again, again and again... Ive been in for 6 years but only i have been home for 2 Christmases, 3 birthdays, 2 anniversaries and 2 new years out of 6 years in service.

i have more time in service OCONUS then Ive ever been in USA. I love my job but i hate being away home.
Combat pay and all the goodies along with it are not bad though, it equals to more DSM parts!!!

Combat Applications Group, or "Delta" if you don't know what the hell you are talking about, is a Tier 1 Special Operations Group. The other Tier 1 SOGs are SEAL team 6, FBIs HRT, and the CIAs SAD. Members have the ability to work for all these organizations in order to maximize the effectiveness of these Groups through tactical and technical cross training.

I just signed for 4 years in the Army my MOS is 11x with Option 40 (airborne Ranger) I'll be leaving on june 6th for basic and can't wait to go to jump school.

Dont do like idiots in my platoon did and got tired of being and airborne hold and requested to go to there duty station. its harder going to air borne after you hit your duty station than it is when you are given the chance after basic since you are already at benning.

congrats dude.... thats the way i should have went to start with.

you better start training now. 72 pushups, 85 situps in 2 minutes and youre gonna want to run a 13:30 2 mile or better. airborne school is easy. ranger from what i hear is just weeks of getting smoked and beat down mentally!

have fun at benning 5-6 months and those hot ass summers

91B here... Will hit my 6 year mark in just a little over a month. Just chilling in Afghanistan.. actually got one day off, holy cow! Second deployment, first was to Iraq. Stationed out of Bragg (boo!), still missing Kaiserslautern, Germany, !

projekt1.. i plan on joining infantry when my EOD contract is up in about 1 1/2 years. Ive wanted the blue chord since i was 16 years old so i joined EOD so i have demolition experience and i can be a Cpl. or Sgt. by the time i re-enlist as 11B

Just trying to figure out in your picture why it is you have a CIB on your ACUs, but you haven't ever been Infantry. Were you wearing someone else's ACU jacket for a picture before you joined or something?
