Ok well first things first im currently running a small 16G with full supporting mods ect. The fastest time ive gotten at the track is a 13.2@ 101 which can be seen here:
http://www.filegone.com/2hlo (video is kinda junky)
or 13.4@ 100 found here:
http://www.filegone.com/wvgj (video a little better)

I ran both those times on 20psi, pump 93, 3 counts of knock on the 13.2 at 5K in 3rd which faded off. The midrange on this turbo is great but i think the small wheel suffers a small bit on topend as when i shift to 3rd it really has some trouble keeping the inertia up. All in all its to be expected with the sm16G imo. So i found a great deal on a Bullseye V-trim turbo and picked that up hoping that will get me into the high 12's. Ive seen dyno chart after dyno chart for this turbo but never anyone that has run it on the strip for some reason. So i plan to also run this turbo at 20psi aswell and really would like to see a high 12 second pass from it but dont really know what to expect. One would assume the vtrim at 20psi would beat the sm16G at 20psi any day of the week. The only reason i got it is because ive had the EVO3 16G in the past and loved it but i figured its time to try somthing else, the 16G was just getting old for me (performance was great though). I heard that the V-trim and EVO3 are comparable in #'s but obviously not spool time. I would just like to know anyones impressions of the V-trim and if it does infact have a good topend to it vs the slugishness of the sm16g over 80mph, also just a basic overview of what im in for once i install this and get it tuned for 20 pounds. Sense ive never even seen a galant with a Vtrim this should be interesting and ill surley post #'s and track videos for anyone that would be intrested in running the same turbo in the future. Thanks

-Ryan

The V-Trim, if I remember correctly, flows ~48lbs/min. Evo3 ABSOLUTE tops flows ~44lbs/min. That's quite a difference.

I don't know man, I got ONE neg point, rest positive or neutral, and I'm STILL red. Argh. Anywho, I'd stick with the V-trim. You should have no problems hitting 12's on it. I didn't look, but cams would also really benefit you.

ive gotten nothing but negitive posts about this over at the galant board with people saying how junky the v-trim is and that i should have never boughten it ect ect so im feeling a little reluctant right now...

what are you referring to? the others on the galant board or me being sick of the 16G's topend?

I think the others on the galant board. I got bashed when I bought a V-trim too, but I bought mine when they were wicked new, no one knew anything about them. Bullseye has now somewhat proven themselves, and their turbos are showing that they can perform just as well as the more expensive ones. Don't let other peoples' opinions dictate what you do with your car.

damn straight, i would really really like to know what the #1 1/4 mile time is on a v-trim, because whatever it is so far im gonna beat it and prove this turbo no matter what it takes even with the internal gate.

dang i wish that first video wasent played back in like fast motion, whats with that? or was it just my computer doing somthing stupid? these guys are running that fast and they dont really have much more than me? thats nuts

The others on the galant board, of course:thumb: .

The V-trim gives you plenty of flow for a cam upgrade at 20 or so psi

SBR has done testing of several internally gated turbos: Internally gated turbos tested on the Dyno. The Bullseye To4B V trim was the first test.

Assuming a 40 hp drivetrain loss (AWD), here's my rendering of SlowBoys results on the compressor map. W no cam upgrade, you can get away w/ more boost and still remain well above 70% efficiency (up to a point, of course).
