PTE dbb 50 trim vs. bullseye gt30r

I cant post in the turbo section so ill post it here. How would you guys compare the PTE 5031RLE BB to the bullseye GT30r ? Which one will make more power ? Are they both direct bolt-ons ? Whats the spool time on each of those ? If you had one, how did you like it.
 
which one will be better for a daily driver and make around 400 plus awhp ?
 
they are both good turbos , but the gt30r would make more power.

if your not going to turn up the boost u should get a bb50trim, if you thinking about d-driving it and on the weekends pumping 100-110 oct and turning the boost up go with a 30r.

This is like comparing apples to oranges.
If you want to compare a turbo to the Bullseye GT30R, then compare PTEs GT3076RLE to it.

The Bullseye GT30R which is a GT3076 turbo will make more power than the 50trim. Spool up on the 30R will be a little later than the 5031RLE. Yes, all 3 turbos are direct bolt on. If you are concerned about spool-up, look at PTEs GT3076RLE which comes with an option of having a 0.48 A/R turbine housing.
 
Like Dee said the PTEGT3076 will have the quicker spool compared to the bullseye unit as it only comes in the smaller .48 AR turbine housing while the Bullseye is a ~.55A/R. If you missed it the true GT30R is the GT3076. Personally I would recommend a 3076 version over the 50 trim. Yes the 50 trim has been very proven & works great on pump, but the GT3076 uses Garretts new compressor wheels which spool faster and are more efficient. They will both meet your goals but the 3076 will give you abit extra growing room. Don't listen to anyone who says the GT30 is only good for high boost & race gas, its a great pump turbo. If your going the direct bolt on route, I would recommend the bullseye unit just for the extra top end its housing offers over PTE (if you go the 3076 route, the std PTE 50 trim housing is the .63 AR). Bullseye also uses a symetrical volute which is better then the PTE/Mitsu style asymetrical voltue. If you want the best still sorta bolt on I would recommend the FP3052, which is the same GT3076 center section & comp cover but uses their custom cast exhaust housing that is specifically designed for the GT turbine wheel, which the other bolt on housings aren't. It also uses the .70 AR turbine housing but will cost extra as you have to get a vband O2 housing & a tiall 44mm vband WG, this is the setup I will be running when the car somes out of storage this spring :thumb:

PS: Even thought the 3076 is larger then the 50 trim the spool won't be much different, were talking a couple hundred rpms which you probably would never notice unless your staring at the tach all the time. This is because of the newer designed wheels, specifically the turbine wheel which even though it is physically smaller (this is where you get the faster spool time) then the turbine wheel on the 50 trim it flows much more.

One other thing, its a good idea to fill out your profile when you get a chance, it makes things alot easier when you have issues & need help.
