I'd never heard of them before you posted. I punched in http://www.dogboxracing.com/ and it looks like another in a long list of folks doing DSM transmission work.

I'm curious about the 1g short-throw shifter they're selling. Shame there's no pictures of it, maybe a comparison to the original shifter design.

Anyway, while I can't comment on them in particular, there's a couple of shops you might want to compare against: Shep Racing and TRE. Both have been doing DSM transmission work for years, and have an excellent reputation for quality workmanship. Oh, and don't forget Magnus, one of the first companies to produce a real dogbox transmission for DSMs.

i am getting my tranny rebuilt from them, they were a bit cheaper than shep and tre, but the reason i chose them is because they are closest to me and they will still give me a discount if my tranny cannot be rebuilt. are they good? will i be happy with their service?

i have never been so happy with a car shop before......if you are in the area or need to rebuild your tranny i highly recommend them.....their quality of work is excellent and their prices can't be beat!! i sent them my car, which had a totally shot tranny, and they did an amazing job rebuilding it........not only that, but they found that all these pieces were missing and they threw in a bunch of important things for free, throwout bearings balance shafts you name it!! then they have me come on a saturday to pick up the car because the tranny is finished, and we discover my ECU is toast, no problem! they work overtime to locate an ECU for me since I was from out of town and needed to get on my way. everyone talks about shep and TRE, but dogbox is every bit as good as them (and cheaper)!! alex and brian from dogbox are great guys, the only thing they care about is doing things the right way, and keeping their customers happy. thanks dogbox!!!
