HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you haven't fig'ed the problem out yet:

1. If you have all you windows updates installed then you shouldn't have to worry about this. If not, download and install all your windows updated

Still won't work

2. Make sure you have the lastest video drivers installed for you vid card.
UNINSTALL OLD DRIVERS AND INSTALL NEW DRIVERS DOWNLOADED FROM INTERNET
www.nvidia.com for geforce
www.ati.com for 8500-9800 and so on

Still won't work

3. Give more detail about you problem

well broke out of the nines... i have hit a couple of 1.75s 0-60mphs... but end up missing the 3rd-4th shit or something. if i could get that and do perfect shifts, i should be in the low 8s.

It's too difficult to be consistent in drag mode on the PC because you can't keep the revs steady. Also when you start to make a lot of power and you get perfect launches, hitting 2nd perfectly becomes a guessing game because once the tires hook-up, the revs just shoot up.

I have a ps2 to pc controller adapter but I haven't tried using the ps2 controller yet...although I have tried the mad catz steering wheel and it's pretty fun, although the gearbox is sequential.

also i have alpine as a sponser andi need dvd covers i have both stars on mine screen but it doesnt give me enough time to beat them i did it with out wrecking 1 time and was still no where nere it :(

Are you turning on the gps (go to your world map and click on whatever point on the map you are trying to reach, it should ask you to activate gps, select yes)??? It helps...you should be able to get to every waypoint with seconds to spare. In the first few ones you should have plenty of time.

well i figured them out (about the stars and stuff u couldnt use gps on them) and that those cheats do not work if you have already started a career (i have ps2 not pc) im tryin to decide now ether to wait and save money for eclipse on the game or the 3000gt the 3000gt seems faster then the supra any 1 have the 3000gt yet?
heres some info on the cars guys :thumb:

You can use GPS on the stars but I noticed after you go to a star and it tells you to go to "x" point in 2min, if you were to pull up the world map, the waypoint would be flashing but the arrow to direct you wouldn't appear on screen. So you have to activate it yourself.

i havent lost a race in my supra on medium yet the damn thing tops out around 190 with out nitrous. Im pretty sure im gonna stick with this car for the remainder of the game and just get some badass cars later down the road

you don't buy cars, just have the sponsor get you one, and trade an older one in and have both.

I have the supra, the top speed is sweet but the accel isn't no where close to the gsx.
I say make sure you leave room for the lancer and 350z, the 350z is insane once you hit stage 2 stuff, especially the turbo.

Buy a USB Logitech wingman rumble pad. Looks pretty close to a PS2 gamepad. And it has the two analog sticks so you can get a steady rev. Costs like <$40

Nah I don't need one, I can just use my PS2 controller. I just never bothered using it yet. The steering wheel I used is made for the PSX/2 but it works fine with the ps2 to usb adapter.

I have a couple of questions when that guys said that he had 3 different cars for different things do u do that in ur garage b/c when i do it or change a car i neve rhave enough money to fix it up in my garage i have a miata, celica, and a supra which im driving now
my question is how do u rotate to different cars with out loosing all ur parts since i have those 3 cars in my garage can i just rotate back and forth with them?

Yeah when you get sponsorships, it unlocks another slot in your garage and they give you whatever car available in the lot for free. The only car you should be buying is the first one...every other car you acquire but don't like should be just left alone and traded in later when you unlock a better car that you want. Like everyone else said, try to stick to one car so that you don't spread out the money and end up having a hard time keeping up in races because you wasted money on bodykits, rims, paint, etc on the car you aren't even modding performance wise. I used my Corolla throughout most of the game, until I got to the point where I didn't have anything else to buy because they weren't unlocked yet, then I decided to start modding the 2nd car I had and then it started balancing out.

You should have money flowing pretty good once you get to Coal Harbor because the races start being worth about 1500 and the U.R.L. being worth I think 5000. But each amount of prize money depends on your sponsor.

Is anyone else using the Mustang, or does anyone have it? If so, do you have any good suspension settings for it. I have level 3 suspension, just not very good at tuning it for the best handling. Any help would be appreciated.

what difficulty settings does everyone use? on my gamecube i use hard cuz i'm teh leetsausage =D

make it the hardest riding, stiffest suspension possible. it may not be the best settings, but it sure is fun driving a 200 mph go-kart =D

Well I finally got back to the place I had to quit at and found an alternate way of less rice to advance. I have some late model NFSU2 rims which boost your star level by .1? and a somewhat cleaner decal which also boosts your stars. And there's tons of money left over. :D Here's a pic.
