Yes it "fits". But you are sticking a 10" wide tire on a 6.5" wide rim. I'd want at least an 8" wide rim for a 245.

.Since this thread is on the subject of tires, does anyone know the widest tire you can run on the 2GB 10 spoke GSX wheels? They at 17 x 6.5 I believe. Would a 245 fit on them?
No offense intended, but it really isn't going to matter on a 420A that is stock. You're better off getting the 205-55-16's as they should be cheaper and should provide less rolling resistance.
The difference there ends up being a little more than 0.400" in overall diameter and, like I said in PM, 10mm (~0.390") in width. It will throw your speedometer off a little bit but will fill the wheel gap a little better. At the end of the day, it is completely up to you.
