Edm,
Now that my fwd Talon has over 250hp traction has become a real issue. I know 225 50 by 16 is too wide for a 6" wide rim, but I can't afford new rims. Who has this size tire on their stock rims? How is it working out?

Thanks,

I do. I had kumo supra ecsta in the same size and they were nice at first but lost there sticky icky yicky after a few thousand miles. I am now running Nitto NT450's 225/50/16 and like them much better. Over 10,000 miles and still hook up nicely. I paid 400 for all 4 mt. and bal. I dynoed 300hp and tq. so they should work good for you also.

I have Pirrelli p7000 in the front on my 2g and they are awsome.225-50-16 is a must have for anybody thats serious about turning with their dsm and can't afford abigger rim/tire package.I had wynstar exsocet in the front before, they were good when new but they also lost their grip after a few k's miles.their on the back now. With those tires and my current suspension setup I can take any turn at double whatever the little yellow sign says and my tires don't even screech.

i have dunlop 225/50/16 sp sports or something.

They look very wide on the car. Works good i guess. They got serious traction too. Tires are only good when its warm out, i drove it the other day in the snow and i might as well have been driving bald tires.
