anyone ever bought this carpet?

Fit may be guaranteed but you still have to trim and it can become a royal pain in the balls.

I bought a nice pair of mats off ebay with eclipse and mits logo stitched on them along with back mats for my large space behing my front seats... LOL.... those are kinda pointless because my front seats are all the way back and have bent them pretty much in half... Other than that they are pretty nice... I think they were like 60-80 bucks all together...

Changing the carpet out is a PITA! It will not be a perfect fit, but will come close. I changed mine out over thanksgiving break, and it took 3 days. I only worked on it for about 3 hours a day though. Im a little OCD :notgood:so that might have been why it took me so long, but I do like things to be perfect the first time. You have to gut the interior to get the carpet out. Then the fun part starts, all you will do for the next 5 or 7 hours is trim the carpet. Like I stated Im OCD. The carpet I got was pre-molded to fit. But it came in a box rolled up so it was out of shape. It's not pre-cut or anything. Its just a big roll of carpet that looks like it was molded for something or the other. After its all said and done you've found five dollars worth of change and can't for the life of you remember where those extra bolts go, it looks really good. LOL If your carpet's getting weedy or stained and just looks like S*%# then if you really want to, do it. But I wouldn't do it again. Unless I was paid to.;) I got mine from MachV.

im changing essentially my whole car to black, starting with the carpet then sparco seats in january. figured might as well order it all while my car is still down, 5 years later.

also, does it cover all the original carpeting areas? it says only passenger area, i assume they say that so people dont think it covers the hatch area as well, but need to make sure.

Yea, Ill find em and post them up.

Ok here it is out of the box uncut and fresh. Sorry the pics not good, stupid cell phone.

Can't say I had the same experience installing my carpet. Just need to lay the new carpet on top of the old once removed and use it as a template of where to cut. Did mine in less than 2 hours. Removing the interior is not much work, seat, center console and side panels, kick panels and door sills is all that needs to be removed. That is 8 14mm bolts/nuts for the seats, about twelve screws and a shift knob that need to be removed. Black carpet with black interior looks so good. Unfortunately I did this on my old GST and don't have any good install pics. This is the best I could find. Obviously I was in the middle of a project.

I couldn't find any pics of it after the install so those will have to wait untill morning.

Maybe when I said "Im a little OCD" it was an understatment. I had to find the middle of the carpet, then the middle of the car, and then line it up so the middle was on the middle, I mean I did everything but use a chalk line. Lol. If I had just been relaxed about it and used the stocker as a template then it wouldn't have took me near as long. But I did it so it would be perfect, because it bugs the crap outta me when somethings not, and I just end up redoing it untill it is. I ended up making something of a grid with all the holes ploted out and even how big they were so it's just like the stock carpet, but black. I even took the time to pull the plastic carpet holders that go on the sides of the carpet to hold it in place under the door sills. It su@#s being OC sometimes.

Ok I found time to take some pics, and they're now in my gallery.

Looks like we got the same carpet but did you get it to sit flat in the corners by the back seat? Also how did you get it to fit and stay under the door sills pieces in the door frame?

bought one and used it.

It fit fine except in the back seat outside corners. The carpet was not formed deeply enough in that area, so I had to use two sided carpet tape to hold it down and it still bunches a little.
No big deal for me, my dog is the only one that goes in the back seat...

Cutting and fittng can be a bee-ach, take your time, use something to attach the plastic pieces under the door sill and you should be fine.

When you take out the stock carpet theres something like 3 or 4 plastic holders under the door sill on each side that are stapled to the carpet. I pulled them off and stapled them onto the new carpet. The back corner: Like I said I took way too much time to do it so I got mine to fit flat. After the carpet sits in there for a while it kinda "settles" and takes the shape of the floor some. I made sure it was flat in the back, and just worked my way forward from the backseats. It also helps if you leave a little extra in the back so it can sink in a little. Hope this helps.
