Anybody running Manley springs with stock retainers?

I have bc 272 cams and I was wondering if anybody is running Manley springs with stock retainers with 272 cams thanks

I'm not to sure they will work. I'v seen the spring before and as far as i can remember the springs are smaller at the top but not sure if i'm thinking of different ones. and for the price of some good retainers I would just get them at least you would know you have a good set-up.

I'm running Manley springs with stock retainers and they work good. Usually rev it to 8000 and never have issues.

Hard to say I upgraded a bunch of stuff at the same time. Ran high 11's with them so they worked out good

You will not notice a performance gain per say, but with supporting mods you can reach that power goal you want, allowing for a performance gain. Supporting mods being cams springs fuel pump etc, the list goes on.


You could notice a performance gain if your springs are not sufficient for the set of cams, floating, replacing these springs at this point would net you a performance gain.

Yes, absolutely agree. Check out my profile and look at my performance list. I'm lacking good springs, bigger injectors, and a better tune

yes both the Manley and the BC1100 use the stock spring seats. A VSI shim may be needed to get the proper installed height.
