So my fuel setup is completley replaced, -6an line from the pump to the new fuel lab fuel filter, new larger sized fuel return because I was dealing with high fuel pressure earlier. I still have the stock fuel rail and 450cc injectors, this whole time I assumed the factory pump was in place and I took a closer look and the previous owner put in a new walbro 255. I've also rewired the pump already with 10 gauge copper
I understand now that the 255 can easily overrun the stock pressure regulator so I know if I want to keep it I need to get an AFPR but I was wondering, with the stock injectors, does the 255 pump EVEN help? or should you really also have aleast the next size up injectors to put the pump to use?
This is for a daily driver, already done all the basic upgrades but trying to keep close to the factory fuel setup for reliability, since I don't have any tuning programs yet. I may very well start messing with bigger injectors later on but nothing too soon. Would it be a better idea to just switch back to my old factory denso pump? or purchase an AFPR to keep the 255?
