Any Issues and procedure of putting 6 bolt head on 7 bolt block

Just looking for any info or warnings on putting a 6 bolt head on a 7 bolt block in a 98 gsx thanks all who help. I have found the wiring for cas and cps sensor.

I have a 1g DSM and I hav looked in to this and from what i read there is an oil drain that wont line up. other than that they should interchange. I looked on google. I chose to stick with stock 1G. it seames to perform better

i ran a 6 bolt head on my 7 bolt with no problems

you can still use your 98 CAS on the 1g head

Physically mating the 6-bolt head to the 7-bolt block requires nothing special. I'm a bit surprised a certain someone hasn't come in here and provided you with this, but consider doing it: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/341028-4g63t-head-oil-port-mod.html.

Now, along with the 1G head, you must use a 1G thermostat housing and intake manifold. With respect to the thermostat housing, you'll need a new water pipe and to consider new water lines for the turbo and oil cooler, if necessary. On a 2G 7-bolt block, you'll need to determine what to do with the original turbo coolant feed line. With respect to the intake manifold, you'll have to figure something out for your MDP sensor, how to mount your power transistor unit, and ensure the wiring for the coil pack is adequate.

As stated above, you can reuse the '98 CAS if you have it. You'll either need to retain the '98 intake cam as well, find another '97-'99 turbo intake cam, or have any other year intake cam modified for the CAS. The perk to doing this is that it eliminates the need for any of that wiring stuff you found already and, assuming an otherwise stock vehicle, it will run like it is supposed to.
