Poop. How did it get stuck in first, do you think a piece of the slider got wedged in there not letting me shift? I still can't move the gear selectors on the transmission even with those pieces out, I guess I've only got it opened halfway though.

Frank (awdmonster) text me and said he's running down at Qualcomm on Friday this week. I know of a red 1g Talon running DR's that is due for a few passes, it hasn't seen track duty in over a year!

Picture this scenario: A particle has wedged itself between the check ball and seating surface of the squirter, the engine is at idle the clutch is depressed, we are now receiving less oil flow and pressure than the main should be getting. Now keep in mind the only way the thrust bearing is fed oil, is from oil that bleeds past the main bearing looking for an escape, it then flows to the thrust. If that check valve is contaminated and stays open, then you are losing some pressure and flow. Today, a day after I posted these findings, I received an email explaining that, they look very similar to ABS unit check valves, which should be kept clean at all times. Those manufacturers put filters in front of them to avoid this sort of thing. (Thanks for the info Joe Enamait) more on that as I get it.

It makes sense to me that by pressing in a ACT 2900 on a car that hasn't been started in 12 hours that you'd be putting pressure on a un-oiled thrust bearing, eventually causing it to walk? Am I wrong, I want to hear the Albee side of the story damnit!

I know exactly what you were refering to but you were referencing a 6 bolt. in which a 6 bolt doesnt have those oil passages and the way you were explaining it was all fubared.

I'd like to thank Alex for letting me use his air compressor, Kris for letting me use his die grinder, and Marshalls for have BAD ASS carbide bits. I'd like to punch whoever designed the Eclipse front knuckles for not making them big enough to bolt up to the Evo Brembos, the install was a PITFA so it better be worth it when I need to stop fast.
