Any DSM meets in San Diego

Just a thought but if you guys are down to drive to El Cajon the westfeild plaza there has a huge lot with two parking garages and theres a couple different groups that meet up there on different night. I.E. a bunch of mini trucks on tuesdays, and hondas on fridays, and they never get hassled. don't know whos down for east county but it's a viable option.

Yesterday after taking off my heatshield I noticed a huge exhaust leak coming from a crack under my exhaust manifold, plus a couple of welds on the o2 housing cracking = fail boost creep.

If you guys are down to hang out with the EVO crew or just show up to one of their meets lmk
I think it is something that has to happen since their cars are like our 4g63 cousin that came out of the factory with "the road already paved" advantage.

Its an SDREV meet though, you're right. It was a SoCal Evo meet but the Evo guys on SDRev posted it and invited EVERYONE, so call it what it is.

Why was your car down for so long Jerry?

Imagine anything possible that could go wrong to a car did. It started with the car Failing smog last Feb. Since then these parts broke and needed replaced or rebuilt. I could kill the previous owner....seriously not taking care of a car.

- Ball joint broke comming off highway, luckily I was pulling into my drive when it happened.
- Turbo blew oil up into the fuel rail, which made one hell of a mess. Oil seal inside deteriorated.
- Complete clutch failure causing warped and somewhat melted ACT2600. Replaced clutch, pressure plate and clutch assembly.
- Flywheel that was installed was completely wrong type for the 4g63T. replaced with correct one.
- Drive axle sheared off. Needed replaced twice. And was probably the hardest part to find.
- Every single sylonoid needed replaced either failed or failing.
- ECU fried. Sent in for rebuild with original ECU which failed and then had to opt for a recoded ECU.
- CAT needed replaced (with the help of alex) idiots before welded the whole pipe together so I had to get that corrected.
- Altinator ripped off from wrong flywheel.

there were much more done but those were the big ticket items.

Still need to get done
- Replace timing belt.
- Window rattle from hell
- driver side window goes past the roof lip
- Clearing out the rats nest of wiring throughout the car.
- Replace carpet
- Redo headliner
- Replace sunroof shade
- Tint
- Replace exhaust manifold
- Upgrade BoV
- Upgrade squishy tubes with hard pipes
- Replace all seals
- Upgrade breaks
- New paint
- New hatch

, thats a bad picture to have up on the FP website... i would have figured they would post a pic of a PERFECT manifold and not one with a crack that looks like that

It is funny but its not a crack, its a cast mark and its just the way the shadow hits it. Every FP manifold has that cast mark, so just flip Alex's over and check it out if you don't believe me.

Order one, they are pretty nice and right now they're on sale for the Tax Return holidays.
