I had a good first time at the "track" It took me a couple of runs to get a hang of it, but I had a personal best of 1.9 60' // 81 MPH // 8.6 ET

I won 7/10 races woohoo :) time for more tweaks and better driver mod!
 
Thats pretty good for a car that weighs like a tank. My whale weighs 4097 lbs or so it is stamped on the inside of the door hinge. Always compensating with power for the weight. Story of my MFL. FML.

Your probably doing 275 to 300 awhp to the wheels running that trap speed with the weight of your car. I was trapping 81mph and running an 8.5 doing 260awhp on my 3,000lb car.

Any runs on the right track? :p The best 60fts you cut at racelegal are 1.9's unless your running slicks. I talked to a dude running a Honda and he said if you want to get legit 1/8th mile times go to Barona. His 60ft times dropped .2 seconds with out changing anything but the track, that says something about racing in a parking lot i guess.

Thanks for the insight. If anything, my times were merely acceptable for a 20-year-old 3650lb car.

I wish that Barona was still a 1/4 track. BTW, my second gear goes up to 80 LOL and third is good for 125. I put down 272 at 12psi with the same turbos on a dynapack last summer. I should be in the high 300's now with meth tuned to 12+AFR and timing peaked at 32*

Basically, I just need to drive A LOT better or discover a hole in my tune, although the logs + videos say otherwise. Obviously, a 1/4 would be more desirable since third equates to the best loaded gear on a 3/S.

Oh yeah! There were a few DSM's present last night. Most were 1G. One was loading up on race fuel and another had stickers all over it i.e. RRE

thx to corey's help with the link an the bigger injectors my car is running much better dsmlink is worth everypenny other than buying the car it has been the best mod ive done sofar so happy. feels like a totally different car. cant wait to up the boost. radiator hose still looks like a over fed anaconda..LOL.. that thing is gonna burst if i push my luck.
 
I heard Verge is only shooting for around 300whp on a heavy 2g awd. This is his goal after unecessarily building a 6 bolt. Ima be rolling when a ricer B16 hatch from sdrev flyz by his setup. Someone tell that foo to drop it in, i want to see this happen already bahaha

Depending on how everything goes i might be up to race the next event to see what kind of times the Talon can trap on 91 before converting to e85. If I race I know my bro is gonna be out there with his 1g on e85. Im going to try and have a cousin with a built b18c turbo hatch come out of its cave and play. So I plan on racing and having a fun time hopefully without breaking anything. X )
 
People were having a tough time getting traction on Friday because of the ridiculously wet staging lanes. I molested a Mazdaspeed 3, beat an SR20-swapped 1800lb Datsun, 5.0 Mustang twice, and was ahead of an 8-sec Lancer Evolution X for the first 3/4. I am going to log some second gear pulls 25-80 tonight and see if I can find anything unusual. My guess is that my high rpm gets richer due to these turbos' characteristics. Last I checked, it was high-12 AFR's/~.89v NBO2 up to 5.6k.

It would be nice to meet some of you there.
 
anyone with a 1g want to drive over to my house so i can see where to wire my fans up, bc im not sure what the genius before me did with this fan setup. That should be all i need for my beast to run.....

I got a 6-bolt from a 91 talon with like 42k miles on it. Gonna put that in with a 2G head and hopefully the 1G intake manifold.

The tension is killing me.

The 1g IM has bigger runners than the 2g head, you'd have to port your 2g head to run the 1g IM or else theres going to be a step between the two where they meet.

If Kris is down, it looks like we've got a full Saturday ahead of us... :D Who's coming to help and learn something because this will be my first time taking off the head on my motor, I'm pumped.

-VR-Speed FMIC and matte black PC'd short route piping
-FP 4" intake
-AEM 3.5 bar MAP sensor
-ExtremePSI head gasket set
-ARP head studs

The head build included engnbldr SS valves/bronze valve guides/revised lifters, Evo IX springs/retainers, Supertech valve seals, & FP2 Cams.

I've had all types of cams and honestly my fav has been my FP2xs....felt like te power would never end, good choice over the hks 272s, better price too
 
Turns out the block I got was a n/a so its a no go. Frankozz is selling a 6 bolt so maybe I will grab it from him 8D. Now we play the waiting game. Kris is gonna do the swap for me which will definately save me some money so long as I can get the engine he's selling for 500. Should be easier since he's selling it complete.
 
I see you have your headgasket still at the shop getting powdercoated. Are you by any chance in a devious group whose members' alias go by "blood"?
